TTRPG Design

**This section is under construction please excuse the mess**

Welcome to my TTRPG design portfolio. Here you will find some samples of my analogue game design experience in the ttrpg space. I have almost two decades of experience running games in both a casual and professional capacity. I have recently made the jump from dungeons and dragons to pathfinder2e so expect more content from that wonderful system, including a completely new campaign setting of my own designed called “Tales From Th’Neeath.”

Currently in the process of creating more modular content for others to use in their ttrpg games, so more content to come!

Content Spotlight

V'sirek Noxissdurn

The Rotting Jungle Drake

V’sirek Noxissdurn, is a low level yet climatic boss encounter. The difficulty is rated for a balanced party of 5 characters.

V’sirek lived many years ago and took up residence in this buried ancient structure from an even further bygone era. After their death the unique climate kept their corpse well preserved and slowed the natural decomposition of the circle of life to a crawl. After the recent necrotic energies began to manifest within these halls much of it began finding it way to V’sirek, bringing them back to life once more.

After the party accidentally stumbles into their lair they will spur the drake's ire... and their hunger.

Map and Level Design

Map and encounter designs is one of my favorite aspects of ttrpgs and with more and more games moving to either online or a hybrid of digital and tactile presentation the need for well thought out and designed maps is becoming more crucial to running a successful game. I use a variety of tool to accomplish this goal, including Inkarnate for large regional maps, DungeonDraft for dungeon and encounter maps, and Gimp for other miscellaneous visual aid assets.

Spotlight Map: Secret Underground Laboratory

Underground Lab_Final.png

This piece is a locations map from a DnD5e game that I am currently running. The location is of a secret research laboratory under the street of a large city and provided many different types of challenges to overcomes. Such challenges included an action pack mutli-layered assault through the garrison/barracks where corrupt town guards guarded the facility, dangerous environmental effects such as irritated water and noxious gases inside posed a constant threat, and newly freed eldritch experiments wreaking havoc throughout the building. All culminating into a climactic battle against the military officer who ran the facility turned giant eldritch abomination.

Location Maps

Here is a sample collection of location map that I have created for various adventures. Location maps offer a way to seamlessly weave one or more encounters together while providing the players with a more granular exploration experience.

Generic Battle Maps

Here is a collection of general battle maps that can be used multiple time for a giving terrain type. Their focus is unique to their terrain type but not too specific to prevent reuse. For example, with a handful of  "forest" maps you could rotate through them any time your group is traveling in that terrain type. Generic battle maps also help with those unexpectant encounters that you did not plan for and need a map.
